Beginning with Michel Tort’s article À propos du concept freudien de “représentant” (Reprä-sentanz)—presented here in Italian translation—this paper aims to briefly re-examine the specific notion of the sexual as introduced by psychoanalysis. More precisely, this work addresses the following points: (1) the theoretical reversal that follows Freud’s abandonment of the seduction theory, leading to a properly defined theory of the drive; (2) how, drawing on an excerpt from the clinical case of the Wolf Man, the notion of the erogenous zone can be grafted onto a non-biologizing theory of the drive; (3) the evident proximity between Bachelard’s epistemological framework and the operation Tort identifies at the level of the Vorstellungs-Repräsentanz des Triebes.

Abstract
Beginning with Michel Tort’s article À propos du concept freudien de “représentant” (Reprä-sentanz)—presented here in Italian translation—this paper aims to briefly re-examine the specific notion of the sexual as introduced by psychoanalysis. More precisely, this work addresses the following points: (1) the theoretical reversal that follows Freud’s abandonment of the seduction theory, leading to a properly defined theory of the drive; (2) how, drawing on an excerpt from the clinical case of the Wolf Man, the notion of the erogenous zone can be grafted onto a non-biologizing theory of the drive; (3) the evident proximity between Bachelard’s epistemological framework and the operation Tort identifies at the level of the Vorstellungs-Repräsentanz des Triebes.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
