I CONFLITTI INTERNAZIONALI: LA GUERRA IN UCRAINA E LA POLITICA DELLE SANZIONI DELL’UNIONE EUROPEA

This paper, valid as a "Bachelor's Degree Thesis", aims to analyze the classic, academic characteristics and controversies typical of conflicts and wars in the international system, followed by an in-depth analysis of the War between Russia and Ukraine, highlighting the historical-cultural causes, the trend of the conflict over the years and the current situation of the forces in the field. Furthermore, a particular focus is dedicated to the contribution that the European Union has given through the "sanctions policy", trying to understand the effects and effectiveness of these measures in relation to the expected objective of Brussels: support Kiev and reduce Putin's Russia from a military, economic and financial point of view.

Questo elaborato, valido come "Tesi di Laurea Triennale", si propone di analizzare le caratteristiche classiche, accademiche, e le controversie tipiche dei conflitti e delle guerre nel sistema internazionale, cui segue un'analisi approfondita della Guerra tra Russia e Ucraina, evidenziando le cause storico-culturali, l'andamento del conflitto nel corso degli anni e l'attuale situazione delle forze sul campo. Inoltre, un focus particolare viene dedicato al contributo che l'Unione Europea ha dato attraverso la "politica delle sanzioni", cercando di comprendere gli effetti e l'efficacia di queste misure in relazione all'obiettivo atteso di Bruxelles: sostenere Kiev e ridimensionare la Russia di Putin dal punto di vista militare, economico e finanziario.
