This thesis aims to identify common elements among different NBA coaches by analyzing data from multiple seasons. The objective is to determine whether and how it is possible to recognize groups of coaches with similar characteristics, both from a technical and a communicative perspective. To this end, numerical data related to team performance under each coach’s guidance are integrated with textual data from preseason press conferences. The analysis combines statistical and textual methods to provide a multidimensional perspective on the role and profile of coaches within the league.

Abstract
This thesis aims to identify common elements among different NBA coaches by analyzing data from multiple seasons. The objective is to determine whether and how it is possible to recognize groups of coaches with similar characteristics, both from a technical and a communicative perspective. To this end, numerical data related to team performance under each coach’s guidance are integrated with textual data from preseason press conferences. The analysis combines statistical and textual methods to provide a multidimensional perspective on the role and profile of coaches within the league.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
