This dissertation aims to explore the role of nurses in pediatric triage management in low- and middle-income settings through a literature review. International scientific articles published over the past ten years were analyzed, with a particular focus on African settings. The objective was to identify the nursing skills involved, the barriers to their effective implementation, and the strategies adopted to improve the quality of triage. The selected articles highlight how tools such as the ETAT are valid but require targeted nursing training to ensure effective implementation. The review demonstrates how strengthening the nursing role can positively impact the quality of pediatric care.
