The digitalization of healthcare raises urgent challenges related to the security, privacy, and interoperability of clinical data. Blockchain technology, with its features of decentralization, transparency, and immutability, is emerging as an innovative tool to improve the efficiency and reliability of healthcare systems. This thesis examines the fundamental principles of blockchain and its main applications in healthcare, from electronic health record management to pharmaceutical supply chain traceability. Through case studies, opportunities and challenges are highlighted, showing how blockchain represents a strategic potential still constrained by technical, regulatory, and organizational limitations.

Abstract
The digitalization of healthcare raises urgent challenges related to the security, privacy, and interoperability of clinical data. Blockchain technology, with its features of decentralization, transparency, and immutability, is emerging as an innovative tool to improve the efficiency and reliability of healthcare systems. This thesis examines the fundamental principles of blockchain and its main applications in healthcare, from electronic health record management to pharmaceutical supply chain traceability. Through case studies, opportunities and challenges are highlighted, showing how blockchain represents a strategic potential still constrained by technical, regulatory, and organizational limitations.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
