The present research was carried out in a kindergarten and it involved children attending the five-year-old class. An educational workshop on emotions was implemented with the aim of examining the three components of emotional competence, namely comprehension, expression, and regulation of emotions. Concurrently two questionnaires were administered to teachers in order to investigate the pedagogical role of educators in fostering emotional education and to underscore the benefits associated with the integration of such programs within the school environment. In addition, two observational grids were administered both prior to and following the workshop and Test of Emotion Comprehension (TEC) was employed to assess children’s capacity for emotional understanding.
