The pressure associated with beauty and physical appearance increasingly influences the relationship we women have with our bodies and, in many cases, for girls suffering from eating disorders, these expectations turn into a spiral of emotions that are difficult to manage. These feelings often manifest themselves in two behaviors: body concealment (hiding one's body) and body exposure (showing it), which become a way of responding to anxiety, shame, insecurity, and sometimes even moments of self-esteem. The aim of this research is therefore to discover how feelings such as suffering, anger, or shame influence their choices and, in this way, we hope to contribute to a deeper understanding of the complex relationship between the emotional sphere and physical behavior in young women suffering from eating disorders.

Abstract
The pressure associated with beauty and physical appearance increasingly influences the relationship we women have with our bodies and, in many cases, for girls suffering from eating disorders, these expectations turn into a spiral of emotions that are difficult to manage. These feelings often manifest themselves in two behaviors: body concealment (hiding one's body) and body exposure (showing it), which become a way of responding to anxiety, shame, insecurity, and sometimes even moments of self-esteem. The aim of this research is therefore to discover how feelings such as suffering, anger, or shame influence their choices and, in this way, we hope to contribute to a deeper understanding of the complex relationship between the emotional sphere and physical behavior in young women suffering from eating disorders.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
