The purpose of this paper is to highlight the importance of employment inclusion for people with intellectual disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorders. Initially, it analyzes the literature on employment inclusion, which is still significantly undervalued compared to school inclusion. However, employment inclusion is essential for the development of greater autonomy, self-determination and active participation, for personal identity and ultimately for the social growth of people with disabilities. The paper then reviews several examples of Social Farms located in Italy, which do not focus on the person's disability but rather aim to bring out their abilities and resources, to help them acquire job skills in a protected context and later offer employment opportunities. Finally, it describes the personal internship experience carried out at the Fuori di Campo Social Farm of the Polis Nova social cooperative, focusing attention on the proposed activities and the results achieved.

Abstract
Finally, it describes the personal internship experience carried out at the Fuori di Campo Social Farm of the Polis Nova social cooperative, focusing attention on the proposed activities and the results achieved.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
