This thesis explores the "Trolley Problem," one of the most debated moral dilemmas in contemporary ethical philosophy. The first chapter analyzes the dilemma in its original form, reconstructing its origins and dissemination within philosophical debate. It examines the main criticisms, presents some significant variations, and compares them in light of different moral theories. The chapter concludes with a reflection on the use of the Trolley Problem as an educational tool, useful for stimulating ethical reflection and developing critical thinking. The second chapter explores moral responses to the dilemma, analyzing them through the lens of the main ethical theories: utilitarianism, deontology, and the ethics of care. The guiding principles of each approach are compared and how they influence moral choices in different versions of the dilemma. Finally, the third chapter presents a reflection on the responses to the Trolley Problem by young people living in difficult and/or disadvantaged situations.
