Dal femminismo materialista alla decostruzione dell'identità nel pensiero di Monique Wittig.

In the following thesis, I will analyse the thought of the theorist and writer Monique Wittig (1935-2003). From an initial positioning of Wittig in French materialist feminism, I will examine how this contributed to the making of her main theoretical work, The Straight Mind and Other Essays (1992), where the arguments are developed by including a lesbian-feminist view that will bring on a theorization of deconstruction of identity. I will analyse the essays dedicated to language and literature, the attempts of universalizing the minority’s point of view and the embodiment of theory in the author’s novels.

Nella seguente tesi verrà analizzato il pensiero della teorica e scrittrice Monique Wittig (1935-2003). Da una prima collocazione teorico-politica nella corrente del femminismo materialista francese, si analizzerà come questo abbia contribuito alla creazione della sua opera teorica principale, The Straight Mind and Other Essays (1992), in cui a questi concetti verrà aggiunta una prospettiva lesbo-femminista, che porterà a teorizzare una decostruzione dell’identità. Verranno presi in considerazione i saggi dedicati alla letteratura, i tentativi di universalizzazione del punto di vista minoritario e la concretizzazione della teoria nei romanzi dell’autrice.
