This thesis investigates and compares two of the most significant pedagogical approaches of the twentieth century: the Montessori method and Rudolf Steiner's Waldorf pedagogy. After outlining their historical, philosophical and pedagogical context, the thesis analyses the key principles of the two educational visions, focusing in particular on the concept of the child, the role of the teacher, the function of the environment and the use of teaching materials. Through a comparative approach, both the points of contact, such as the centrality of the child and the value attributed to educational freedom, and the substantial differences related to the scientific and spiritual foundations of the two models are highlighted. In conclusion, the research reflects on the legacy of Montessori and Steiner in the contemporary educational landscape, showing how their insights can still offer meaningful answers to current educational challenges, such as the development of autonomy, creativity, and the centrality of the child as a unique and irreplaceable person.

Abstract
In conclusion, the research reflects on the legacy of Montessori and Steiner in the contemporary educational landscape, showing how their insights can still offer meaningful answers to current educational challenges, such as the development of autonomy, creativity, and the centrality of the child as a unique and irreplaceable person.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
