This research aims to explore the importance of pedagogical and educational training in non-formal contexts, with specific reference to priests and catechists. The first chapter analyses non-formal educational contexts and the dimension of religious pedagogy. The second chapter examines the training courses provided by the Italian Episcopal Conference for priests and catechists, highlighting their objectives and guidelines. The third chapter is devoted to the analysis of data emerging from a qualitative survey, conducted through a questionnaire administered to catechists from three parishes in Verona and to young priests, aimed at identifying perceptions, needs and educational practices. Finally, the fourth chapter outlines a training proposal divided into three meetings, aimed at enhancing the pedagogical skills of pastoral workers and supporting more conscious educational action in the contexts of reference.
