This thesis aims to analyze and describe, within Pasolini’s body of work, the transformation of sexual mores, interpreting them in relation to the symbolic and social value that Pasolini himself assigns to sex. It also examines the deformation and degradation of bodies caused by the new consumer society, and, necessarily, the relationship between the intellectual and power—all while paying close attention to the historical and political context of 1960s and 1970s Italy. The investigation seeks to be as progressive as possible, which is why, almost paradoxically, it originates from the last work of the Friulian intellectual: Petrolio. This unfinished final work can be considered not only as a thematic summa of Pasolini’s entire oeuvre, but also as his most mature and intense elaboration and interpretation. In pursuing these objectives with such an approach, the thesis will navigate the various expressive modes adopted by the author: prose, poetry, cinema, and journalistic interventions.

Abstract
In pursuing these objectives with such an approach, the thesis will navigate the various expressive modes adopted by the author: prose, poetry, cinema, and journalistic interventions.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
