This study analyzes the generational differences in the perception of drugs between Generation X and Generation Z. The main objective is to investigate how the socio-cultural context and the factors that characterize a given historical period may have influenced opinions and attitudes towards the complex issue of psychoactive substances. The research examines the situation of the 1980s and 1990s, experienced by Generation X, and that of the first two decades of the 2000s, experienced by Generation Z. From a methodological perspective, the study combines the analysis of theoretical literature with an experimental investigation carried out through a questionnaire. The results confirm several hypotheses that emerged from the literature review, showing how socio-cultural differences are reflected in the perception of drugs between the two generational groups. In general, Generation X tends to perceive drugs mainly in terms of danger and illegality, whereas Generation Z displays a more complex approach, one that reduces the taboo surrounding substances and situates them within a framework of normalization.
