The present thesis aims to investigate the possible relationship between the use of smartphones and/or tablets/iPads and the onset of neck pain in individuals aged 18 to 25 years. Through the administration of an anonymous questionnaire, data will be collected regarding the frequency and duration of mobile device use, the presence of cervical symptoms, and postural habits. The results will be analyzed to identify any statistically significant relationships. In addition, a literature review will be conducted with particular attention to prevalence studies on neck pain prior to the widespread diffusion of smartphones, in order to compare the prevalence of the condition across different time periods. The overall goal is to better understand the impact of new digital habits on the musculoskeletal system of young adults.
