This thesis focuses on underwater detection through the use of event cameras. The goal is the integration of the vision system into an acquatic drone and its use for recognition tasks in underwater enviroments. The work involves the development and experimental evaluation of an event-based data processing pipeline, with the analysis of the system's performance conducted under scenarios characterized by challenging visual conditions.
Questa tesi si concentra sull'underwater detection tramite l'impiego di telecamere ad eventi. L'obiettivo è l'integrazione del sistema di visione in un drone acquatico e il suo utilizzo per il riconoscimento in un ambiente subacqueo. Il lavoro prevede lo sviluppo e la sperimentazione di una pipeline di elaborazione dei dati ad eventi, con l’analisi delle prestazioni del sistema in scenari caratterizzati da condizioni visive critiche.
