The present bibliographic thesis addresses the topic of the subjective perception of economic inequality. Drawing on a critical review of the scientific literature, it examines studies on the misperception of inequality, the role of social networks and cultural context, as well as the effects of perceived inequality on individual well-being, social trust, and political attitudes. The work proposes a theoretical framework of the cognitive processes underlying economic judgment, focusing on the mechanisms of information integration and the interpretative filters that shape the evaluation of differences in income and wealth. Within this perspective, a research design is outlined for the development of a subjective index of inequality (G*), conceived as a measure of the cognitive styles through which individuals represent and evaluate the distribution of resources. The aim is to offer an integrated framework capable of linking economic structures, cognitive processes, and sociopolitical dynamics, thereby contributing to a more nuanced understanding of one of the central issues in contemporary debate.

Abstract
The aim is to offer an integrated framework capable of linking economic structures, cognitive processes, and sociopolitical dynamics, thereby contributing to a more nuanced understanding of one of the central issues in contemporary debate.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
