Focusing on the context of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, this research project intends to investigate the ways in which young people forced to leave their country, many of whom arrived in Italy as adolescents, reorganize their affective relationships. The first chapter delves into the concept of "family" in the social sciences, relating it to the concept of "home." The approach of "Doing family" by David Morgan is then illustrated to show how family relationships are reinterpreted within the migration process. According to this perspective, familyis an active and daily practice dealing with all the people involved. This practice not only occurs within the walls of the home but is also built and maintained even when apart. The second chapter is dedicated to the forced migration from Ukraine, the extraordinary measures implemented by the European Union in response to the emergency, in particular the Temporary Protection Directive and Italian asylum policies. Finally, the third and fourth chapters present the field research conducted through autobiographical narrative interviews. Through these interviews conducted with young Ukrainians who arrived in Italy, some still minors, having a residence permit for temporary protection, the study investigates the ways in which they make a family in the distance.

Abstract
Through these interviews conducted with young Ukrainians who arrived in Italy, some still minors, having a residence permit for temporary protection, the study investigates the ways in which they make a family in the distance.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
