The mother-infant relationship, grounded in a secure attachment bond, plays a fundamental role in the child's cognitive, socio-relational, and linguistic development. Attuned and responsive parenting is what makes such development possible. High-risk conditions, such as preterm birth, demand heightened attention and specialized competence. For this reason, well-structured parenting support interventions can assist dyads in developing effective relational strategies and parenting practices that promote child development. The present thesis project aims to provide a concrete contribution, grounded in the scientific literature and clinical experience, to the prevention of parenting difficulties and the development of early support interventions. Building on these premises, an observation checklist was developed based on the first two scales of the PICCOLO test, addressing the dimensions of "emotional involvement" and "responsiveness." The checklist was administered to a study sample consisting of dyads involving 8 preterm-born infants, and to a control sample of dyads involving 8 full-term-born infants. The data collected from both samples were subjected to statistical analysis, and on the basis of the findings, informational material intended for parents was produced in the form of an informative poster.

Abstract
The data collected from both samples were subjected to statistical analysis, and on the basis of the findings, informational material intended for parents was produced in the form of an informative poster.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
