This thesis examines the psychological aspects of performance in Formula 1, integrating a theoretical perspective with an analysis of the competitive context and a specific case study. It begins by analyzing the psychological and psychophysiological demands of Formula 1, the main factors that influence performance, and the most relevant Psychological Skills Training (PST) strategies. Next, the analysis is broadened to the relational context, examining the dynamics between driver and team, driver and public, and the impact of social media on mental health. To conclude, a case study on Lando Norris is presented, analyzing performance patterns under stress, coping strategies adopted, and implications for sport psychology. It can be highlighted that mental preparation, once considered optional, is now an essential element in Formula 1, a context in which the ability for cognitive and emotional self-regulation determines success under extreme pressure.
