La tesi indaga la relazione tra fusione tonale e consonanza musicale, con collegamenti con il grado di piacevolezza percepito da un suono. È stato condotto uno studio in laboratorio analizzando giudizi di fusione e giudizi di consonanza, volendo individuare una correlazione significativa tra questi due dati in un campione di partecipanti di cultura occidentale.
