The present work aims to explore the topic of school inclusion of students with a migratory background in lower secondary school through a qualitative investigation. After providing an overview of the characteristics, challenges, and psychosocial resources of students with migration experiences, the study examines the importance of teachers adopting educational approaches able of valuing cultural, linguistic, and identity differences as resources for learning and well-being. Within this framework, culturally responsive pedagogy is analyzed, highlighting its fundamental principles and its benefits at the motivational, relational, and academic levels. Particular attention is also given to the Student Voice approach, conceived as an educational strategy aimed at promoting authentic listening, participation, and students’ sense of self-efficacy, including through the use of digital technologies. Finally, the fourth chapter presents four interviews addressed to lower secondary school teachers, designed to explore the intercultural practices adopted and teachers’ perceptions regarding the inclusion of students with a migratory background. The expected findings highlight the need for a school environment capable of recognizing and valuing students’ voices, fostering educational contexts that are equitable, participatory, and sensitive to diversity.
