Differenze di genere nei bambini con disturbo dello spettro autistico

The thesis focuses on the gender differences present in children with ASD, analyzing them with regard to RRBI, differences in the use of written and spoken language, and the use of social camouflage techniques. The aim is to highlight the differences to be considered when assuming a diagnosis of autism in a girl, considering the strengths and weaknesses that the latter would have compared to her male counterpart.

La tesi si concentra sulle differenze di genere presenti nei bambini con ASD, andando ad analizzarle riguardo agli RRBI, le differenze nell'uso del linguaggio scritto e parlato e nell'uso di tecniche di camuffamento sociale. L'obiettivo consiste nel mettere in luce le differenze a cui porre attenzione qualora si supponga una diagnosi di autismo in una bambina, considerando i punti di forza e di debolezza che quest'ultima avrebbe rispetto alla controparte maschile.
