This study has explored the themes of well-being and mental health among adolescents, focusing on the impact of stigma and innovative strategies. Mental health is a fundamental pillar of both individual and social well-being. However, persistent prejudices, stereotypes, and forms of self-stigma create an insidious barrier that fuels shame and delays help-seeking behavior. Epidemiological and social research—including a national study in Spain and an analysis of the Italian context—demonstrates that, despite growing awareness, attitudes of social exclusion and a deep-seated tendency to associate mental health issues with negative prejudice remain prevalent. To address this urgent issue, the study analyzed the effectiveness of interventions combining science and art; these were inspired by the Rev(b)élate project and adapted into the RivelAzione school-based educational program. Data from evaluation studies confirm that art-science exhibitions are effective tools for dispelling myths and reducing stigmatizing attitudes among young people.

Abstract
Data from evaluation studies confirm that art-science exhibitions are effective tools for dispelling myths and reducing stigmatizing attitudes among young people.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
