This thesis investigates the effect of different packaging systems on the shelf-life and quality preservation of fresh strawberries during refrigerated storage. The study compares packaging solutions by evaluating changes in weight loss, firmness, color, and overall fruit quality over time. In addition to conventional quality measurements, three-dimensional (3D) imaging was employed as a non-destructive technique to monitor morphological changes and assess fruit deterioration throughout storage. Statistical analyses were conducted to determine the influence of packaging type and storage duration on quality parameters. The results demonstrate that appropriate packaging can significantly reduce quality degradation, extend shelf-life, and contribute to minimizing food waste. Furthermore, the findings highlight the potential of 3D imaging as an innovative tool for quality assessment and postharvest monitoring of fresh produce.

Abstract
Furthermore, the findings highlight the potential of 3D imaging as an innovative tool for quality assessment and postharvest monitoring of fresh produce.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
