This thesis aims to analyze the evolution and centrality of the concept of the "limit," tracing its path from the foundations of classical psychoanalysis to its practical applications in educational and pedagogical fields. The first chapter examines the thought of Sigmund Freud, deepening the understanding of the genesis of childhood desire and the structuring of the Oedipus complex. This initial section will therefore analyze how the limit represents the fundamental normative element for regulating drive impulses. The second chapter explores the theoretical debate between Freud and Carl Gustav Jung, highlighting how the latter reinterpreted the Oedipal dynamic in a different manner. To complete the sociological and philosophical framework, the thought of Herbert Marcuse is integrated to comprehend the impact and influence of social structures on the definition of collective rules and restrictions. In the final section, the research shifts toward the pedagogical perspective, aiming to translate theoretical assumptions into concrete educational strategies. The ultimate goal of this work is to identify practical pathways that enable children to internalize limits and rules—not as punitive obstacles or deprivations, but as indispensable tools for harmonious growth, the development of autonomy, and peaceful social coexistence.

Abstract
The ultimate goal of this work is to identify practical pathways that enable children to internalize limits and rules—not as punitive obstacles or deprivations, but as indispensable tools for harmonious growth, the development of autonomy, and peaceful social coexistence.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
