Wind energy currently has the greater potential among other renewable energy sources; the dates of its growth are the highest among the green energies. In his favour there is the cost/production ratio much lower than other renewable energy sources. The global wind capacity installed is growing steady for several years, due particularly to incentive programs implemented by many government. Italy show a good interest to this renewable source, but this issue isn’t still fully development, due unpleasant visual impact that the turbines has on the landscape and the lack of reference standards. Besides, Italy hasn’t a favourable position to the wind, and this can be consider a negative factor for the development of this source. With this study we investigated whether the wind turbines presence influence house values and than this element is considerer by interview when they choosing an house. We applied the Choice Experiment, a survey based methodology. It works by presenting to respondents choice sets, “choice tasks”, consisting of a number default profiles, each described by all attributes and levels consider in the experiment design. Respondents are asked to indicate which, among the various profiles of each choice set, he will choose at the time of purchase if he was in front of those alternatives. Respect the study’s objects, we’re assigned to each house following attributes: price, surface, type, location, conservation, facing to the public park and three different distance to wind turbines. We were deduced 18 profiles, divided into 6 choice sets. These were included in a questionnaire, that it’s subject to 200 people. The questionnaire is divided into 3 parts: the first part is devoted to understanding actual housing situation of interview and his opinions of some factors that influence his choice housing preferences. The second part is dedicated to the choice experiment. The last part is composed of socio-economics questions.
