The spruce bark beetles Ips typographus is one of the most destructive forest pests of Europe. Despite numerous infestations have been recorded across Europe, the knowledge about some aspects of the insect biology are still unclear, especially in a climate change context. The aim of this study was to investigate phenology, voltinism and density of an Ips typographus population, and of the associated beetle species, occurring in the Altopiano dei Sette Comuni (VI) (NE Italy).
