Development of local approaches for fatigue life prediction of Austempered Ductile Iron-to-Steel dissimilar joints

The present work aims to compare the fatigue behaviour of Austempered Ductile Iron-to-steel dissimilar joints to the categories of the corresponding homogeneous steel joints, suggested in International Standards and Recommendations. Material and specimens characterization was carried out. Fatigue tests were performed on dissimilar welded details and the experimental data were re-analysed in terms of local approaches to provide the best level of accuracy for the fatigue assessment of the joints
