The main topics of this thesis are mental disorders who arose after two traumatic incidentes: war and COVID-19 pandemic. The first symptoms that are discussed are those who affected the soldiers diagnosed with Shell Shock of First World War and Veterans’ Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Furthemore even who didn’t fight was diagnosed with psychiatric disordes such as Kuwait war’s psycopathology. Next topic concerns the description of COVID-19 pandemic period and examines the main factors of stress for the population and health workers and their psychological consequences. Finally it’s analysed the Professional Educator part in relation to Veteran’s Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder diagnosis and the educational interventions for the health workers’ psychological stress during COVID-19 pandemic.
Gli argomenti principali di questa tesi di laurea sono i disturbi psichiatrici insorti come conseguenza di due eventi traumatici e/o stressanti: la guerra e la pandemia da COVID-19. I primi sintomi di cui si racconta sono quelli dei soldati in guerra, in particolare dei soldati della Prima Guerra Mondiale con diagnosi di “Shell Shock”, fino ad arrivare ai Veterani della Guerra del Vietnam con diagnosi di Disturbo da Stress Post-Traumatico (PTSD). Ma non solo chi ha combattuto al fronte durante la guerra è stato affetto da disturbi psichiatrici, ne è una testimonianza l’esempio della psicopatologia di guerra del Kuwait. Segue la descrizione del periodo pandemico da COVID-19 attraverso l’elenco dei principali fattori di stress per la popolazione e per il personale sanitario e le conseguenze psicologiche correlate. Infine, viene preso in considerazione il ruolo dell’Educatore Professionale in relazione ad un Disturbo da Stress Post-Traumatico di un Veterano di guerra ed in relazione alle strategie educative attuabili per far fronte allo stress psicologico degli operatori sanitari durante la pandemia COVID-19.
