LO SVILUPPO DEL CERVELLO E DELLA MENTE NEI BAMBINI CON GENITORI TOSSICODIPENDENTI: UNO SGUARDO DALLA PROSPETTIVA DELLA NEUROBIOLOGIA INTERPERSONALE.

This paper deals with the brain and mental development of children who grow up in families with drug addicted parents: it shows how the child's brain and relational development are influenced by the maladaptive behaviors of the parents and there are possible consequences on the psychophysical health of these children. The first chapter focuses on the neural development of the fetus exposed to substances during pregnancy, and the consequences of exposure in the first months of birth. In the second chapter, the focus shifts to the development of the dyadic mother-child relationship in the context of drug addiction, and then ends the paper with proposals for treatments that take into account the importance of the mother-child functional interaction

In questo elaborato si tratta dello sviluppo cerebrale e mentale dei bambini che crescono in famiglie con genitori tossicodipendenti: si mostra come lo sviluppo cerebrale e relazionale del bambino sono influenzati dai comportamenti disadattavi dei genitori e si presentano delle possibili conseguenze sulla salute psicofisica di questi bambini. Nel primo capitolo ci si focalizza sullo sviluppo neurale del feto esposto a sostanze durante la gravidanza, e le conseguenze dell’esposizione ai primi mesi dalla nascita. Nel secondo capitolo si sposta l’attenzione nello sviluppo della relazione diadica madre-figlio nel contesto delle tossicodipendenze, per poi terminare l’elaborato con delle proposte di trattamenti che tengano conto dell’importanza dell’interazione funzionale madre-bambino.
