Movement is the way in which individuals can interact with others and with the environment: the process to arrive at the concept of body in action began in ancient times when the mind-body dualism was still adhered to. Since then, the evolution in both the medical and psychological fields has led to the birth of new disciplines such as epigenetics or PNEI that deal with the human being as a whole, also in relation to the surrounding environment. The central body of the thesis deals with how movement and sport can bring benefits not only on a physical level, such as better cardio-vascular or musculoskeletal health, also protecting from the risk of injuries and diseases, but also on a psycho- social, reducing anxiety levels and increasing self-esteem and self-efficacy. Physical activity is also essential during childhood and adolescence, a critical period in which the main changes occur, and research shows that play and sport can bring benefits on a physical, cognitive and socio-relational level. The last part investigates the importance of the environment in relation to physical activity: outdoor activities, outdoors in nature, seem to provide greater benefits for the blessing of the person, especially in reference to the mood and stress management.

Abstract
The last part investigates the importance of the environment in relation to physical activity: outdoor activities, outdoors in nature, seem to provide greater benefits for the blessing of the person, especially in reference to the mood and stress management.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
