The RASFF system called "Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed" (from the English Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed), conceived and introduced in 1979 on the proposal of the European Council and on the directive of Regulation (EC) no. 178/2002, which represents one of the main tools for information and communication to all member states of possible dangers that may arise from the consumption of food and feed. Within the system we can find three main types of contamination: chemical, physical and biological. The purpose of this paper was to describe the system and the regulations that outline the European food law and the main types of contamination, focusing in particular on chemical contamination in fishery products and the possible effects that may arise in an individual subsequently to the consumption of an altered product. This type of contamination in the last decade has greatly worried the Supervisory Authorities since the development of the secondary sector has led to a significant increase in the dispersion of toxic and harmful substances in the environment, which can be encountered throughout the food chain.

Abstract
This type of contamination in the last decade has greatly worried the Supervisory Authorities since the development of the secondary sector has led to a significant increase in the dispersion of toxic and harmful substances in the environment, which can be encountered throughout the food chain.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
