through this study, the hemispheric lateralization of domestic chicken chicks (Gallus gallus) was further investigated. the chicks, after passing adequate training, were subjected to two tests (sagittal and fronto-parallel). the frequency with which the chicks pecked the target stimulus, the response times and the direction in which the subject approached the performance of the task were observed. the results support the presence, even in these animals, of a mental number line
