The controversy of altered states of consciousness, crossing different cultural contexts, diving in the history and archeology of some plants considered sacred. All begins with Charles T. Tarts's researches based on altered states of consciousness and how these can be explained from a cognitive/structural point of view; an anthropological-historical part will follow in wich some culture will be examined and the importance they give to their "altered states" induced by substances; it will end with the analysis of Sciamanic culture and Ayahuasca.
Il dibattito sugli stati alterati di coscienza, attraversando diversi contesti culturali, immergendosi nella storia e archeologia di alcune piante considerate sacre. Tutto ha inizio con le ricerche di Charles T. Tart sugli stati alterati di coscienza e come questi possano essere spiegati da un punto di vista cognitivo/strutturale; seguirà una parte storico-antropologica nella quale verranno prese in esame alcune culture e l'importanza che danno ai loro "stati alterati" indotti da sostanze; si concluderà con l'analisi della cultura Sciamanica e l'Ayahuasca
