The thesis offers an overview of the biography and career of three singers - Judy Garland, Madonna and Lady Gaga - belonging to three different eras and united by having been elected icons of the gay community. Starting from an introduction on this figure, the work of these three women is analyzed individually in search of the elements that decreed this identification.

La tesi propone una panoramica sulla biografia e la carriera di tre cantanti - Judy Garland, Madonna e Lady Gaga - appartenenti a tre epoche diverse e accomunate dall'essere state elette icone della comunità gay.
