The Arctictis Binturong is to this day a rather unknown animal. In fact, it is the only living species in the genus Arctictis, making a chance for comparison hard; furthermore, sightings in nature are fairly rare and inconsistent, and not many individuals are being kept in captivity, as per AZA (Association of Zoos and Aquaria) records. This study aims at laying the foundation for studying and understanding the behavior of the Arctictis Binturong, through the observation of the range of actions expressed during the day at different times. For this purpose, two specimens of the Cappeller Park in Veneto, Italy, were observed for one hour, twice a day, for 7 days. Out of the total 14 hours of observation, 5 of them are centered around an enrichment program proposing sensory, food-based and environmental enrichment.

Abstract
Out of the total 14 hours of observation, 5 of them are centered around an enrichment program proposing sensory, food-based and environmental enrichment.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
