This thesis analyzes scientific communication on the subject of research with animal experimentation and pays particular attention to social media and how the theme of animal experimentation is conveyed on them. Despite the existence of guidelines such as the Concordat on Openness on Animal Research and the commitment of Italian and European institutions that deal with animal research, this topic still remains rather polarized, especially in front of the general public. The thesis analyzes N social profiles of as many organizations looking at the way of communicating the research and deepens the issue with qualitative interviews with privileged representatives. From this analysis a document will be produced with guidelines for communicating research on animals in social channels.
Questa tesi analizza la comunicazione scientifica sul tema della ricerca con sperimentazione animale e pone particolare attenzione ai social media e a come su di essi venga veicolato il tema della sperimentazione animale. Nonostante l'esistenza di linee guida come il Concordat on Openness on Animal Research e l'impegno delle istituzioni italiane ed europee che si occupano di ricerca sugli animali, questo argomento rimane ancora piuttosto polarizzato, soprattutto di fronte al pubblico generalista. La tesi analizza N profili social di altrettante organizzazioni guardando al modo di comunicare la ricerca e approfondisce la tematica con interviste qualitative a rappresnetanti privilegiati. Da questa analisi verrà prodotto un documento con delle linee guida per la comunicazione della ricerca su animali nei canali social.
