Introduction: Chronic Infiammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), which include Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, are characterized by a chronic inflammatory process and by alternating periods of acute disease and periods of latency or remission. The pathological process of this disease affects the quality of life and the management of one's daily life. Objective: The aim of this paper is analized and understand the impact that a diagnosis of chronic inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) has on the management and quality of life of the person. In particular, the focus was placed on Crohn's disease or disease (MC) and on the influence that covered the first lockdown period, following the spread of Coronavirus in 2019. Subsequently, we tried to hypothesize the inclusion of the figure of the professional educator in the work team, with the aim of promoting his effective contribution to the support of people suffering from chronic diseases of the gastrointestinal system. Research strategy: The drafting of this thesis took place through an accurate review of the literature using databases such as Google Scholar, PubMed and GallileoDiscovery. Among the various materials collected, thirteen articles extrapolated from the PubMed search engine concerning the pandemic lockdown period were selected. Keywords: Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Crohn's disease, Quality of life, lockdown
