This research aims to investigate the associations between personality and dispositional features and the use of the mask at the end of government restrictions due to the Covid-19 pandemic. METHODOLOGY: filling in a questionnaire in computerized format accessible through an online link sent to adults between 18 and 65 years old. The link contains the following tools: information form: aimed at investigating age, gender, education, work status. In addition, it aims to investigate the trust in government, science and healthcare and a series of questions related to the use of the mask from beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 to September 2022. Multidimensional Assessment of COVID-19-Related Fears (MAC-RF): assesses Covid-related fears to the few weeks prior the survey. Personality Inventory for DSM-5 Personality Disorders-Brief Form (PID-5-BF): studies the personality traits as theorized in the DSM-5 dimensional model, with reference to the five domains: Negative Affectivity, Detachment, Disinhibition, Antagonism and Psychoticism. Generalized Anxiety Disorder Scale-7 (GAD-7): Provides a measure of symptoms related to worry and anxiety experienced in the past 2 weeks. Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9): measure the intensity of depressive symptoms over the past 2 weeks. PLACE AND DURATION: The self-assessment questionnaires in computerized format were filled in by the research participant at home or in the places he deemed appropriate and had an average duration of about 35 minutes. The link was disseminated on all social platforms and through snowball sampling.
La presente ricerca si pone l’obiettivo di indagare le associazioni tra caratteristiche di personalità e disposizionali e l’uso della mascherina al termine delle restrizioni governative dovute alla pandemia da Covid-19. METODOLOGIA: Questionari in formato computerizzato attraverso la compilazione di un link online mandato a persone adulte tra i 18 e 65 anni. Nello specifico, il link contiene i seguenti strumenti: Scheda informativa: volta a indagare l’età, il genere, il percorso di studi, la situazione lavorativa. Inoltre, si propone di approfondire la fiducia nel governo, nelle scienze e nelle professioni di cura ed una serie di domande relative all’uso della mascherina dal 2020 a settembre 2022. Multidimensional Assessment of COVID-19-Related Fears (MAC-RF): valuta le paure Covid-related relative alle ultime settimane. Personality Inventory for DSM-5 Personality Disorders-Brief Form (PID-5-BF): valuta i tratti di personalità così come teorizzati nel modello dimensionale del DSM-5, con riferimento ai cinque domini: Affettività Negativa, Distacco, Disinibizione, Antagonismo e Psicoticismo. Generalized Anxiety Disorder Scale-7 (GAD-7): offre una misura dei sintomi legati a preoccupazioni e ansia esperiti nelle ultime 2 settimane. Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9): rileva una misura della gravità dei sintomi depressivi nel corso delle ultime 2 settimane. LUOGO E DURATA: I questionari di autovalutazione in formato computerizzato sono stati compilati dal partecipante alla ricerca presso la propria abitazione o nei luoghi che egli ha ritenuto opportuni e ha avuto una durata complessiva di circa 35 minuti. Il link è stato diffuso su tutte le piattaforme social e attraverso campionamento a valanga.
