A study was conducted to evaluate the effects of a treatment based on the application of neuromuscular taping in patients with neurological problems. We chose to conduct the study on adolescents who share the diagnosis of hemiparesis due to PCI, due to the influence of the training period in the developmental age and for the choice of having a common basic diagnosis among patients. Two patients were identified, male adolescents aged 13 and 15, not in hospital physiotherapy treatment and who did not meet the selected exclusion criteria. It was decided to perform the treatment on the lower limbs to evaluate any changes in the function of walking. The selection of which muscles to treat was made following the evaluations with the gate analysis which identified which were the 3 muscles of the lower limb most deficient. The complete study includes a first initial evaluation of the gait with gate analysis at T0, four weeks of continuous treatment during which the tape with neuromuscular application is applied every 48 hours to both limbs over the same muscle groups, and a second evaluation and T1 following treatment to evaluate if there were any changes attributable to NT treatment.
