With the modification of the consolidated environmental text, made by DGL 102/2020, all the activities that use substances with hazard phrases H340, H350 and H360 and carry out emissions into the atmosphere of the same substances, are obliged to replace them or to periodically justify their continuous use in the production process. Consequentially, it was required a test methods and therefore a sampling and analysis procedure in order to identify and quantify the actual emission of these substances into the environment and, if necessary, to monitor it. The present case study was born with these premises and aims to develop a test method for the chimney sampled Dioctylstagno Dilaurato. After a careful bibliographic analysis and research on existing methodologies adaptable to the present case and subsequently to the comparison of different sampling and analysis methods, it was chosen to proceed with a sampling procedure made according to dust regulations (UNI 13284 standard), with a fiberglass filter and subsequent laboratory analysis via High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) technique coupled with a mass spectrometer (MS) for detection. The analysis methodology was obtained from the EPA method 8323: "Determination of organotins by micro-liquid chromatography- electrospray ion trap mass spectrometry".
Con la modifica del testo unico ambientale, apportata dal DGL 102/2020, si obbligano le attività che impiegano sostanze con frasi di pericolo H340, H350 e H360 e realizzano emissioni in atmosfera delle stesse, a sostituirle o a giustificarne periodicamente il continuo impiego nel processo produttivo. S'è, di conseguenza, resa necessaria la presenza di metodi di prova, di campionamento ed analisi, al fine di determinare l'effettiva emissione di queste sostanze in ambiente e in caso monitorarla. Il presente caso studio nasce con queste premesse e si prefigge l'obbiettivo d'elaborare un metodo di prova per il Dioctilstagno Dilaurato campionato a camino. Dopo un'attenta analisi bibliografica e ricerca sulle metodologie esistenti e adattabili al presente caso e successivamente al confronto di diversi metodi di campionamento ed analisi, è stato scelto di procedere con campionamento secondo normativa polveri (norma UNI 13284), con filtro in fibra di vetro e successiva analisi in laboratorio impiegando una tecnica High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) accoppiata con spettrometro di massa (MS) per la rilevazione. La metodologia d’analisi è stata ottenuta dal metodo EPA 8323: “Determination of organotins by micro-liquid chromatography- electrospray ion trap mass spectrometry”.
