The purpose of this paper is to analyze and test the co-creation of value as a strategy that can be adopted by small and medium-sized enterprises with limited resources to improve their competitiveness increasing customer satisfaction and loyalty, and designing products that have the requisites to satisfy the real consumer needs. ITH Hostels & Eco-Lodging operates within the hospitality sector of the State of California, and can count on a clientele of visitors from different continents, with different habits and cultures, and consequently with different needs. The need to develop this research arose from the difficulty in understanding the needs and interests of travelers belonging to divergent cultures and from the lack of sufficient personnel and resources to undertake a more traditional study of the target to design services that offer the best solution to its needs.
Il proposito di questo elaborato è quello di analizzare e sperimentare la co-creazione di valore come strategia adottabile da piccole e medie imprese con risorse limitate per migliorarne la competitività, aumentando la soddisfazione e fidelizzazione dei clienti e confezionando prodotti che hanno i requisiti per accontentare i reali bisogni dei consumatori. ITH Hostels & Eco-Lodging si colloca all'interno del settore ricettivo dello Stato della California, e può contare su una clientela di visitatori provenienti da diversi continenti, con diverse abitudini e cultura, e di conseguenza con diverse esigenze. La necessità di svolgere questa ricerca è nata dalla difficoltà nel comprendere i bisogni ed interessi di viaggiatori appartenenti a culture divergenti e dalla mancanza di personale e risorse sufficienti ad intraprendere uno studio più tradizionale del consumatore target per ideare servizi che offrono la migliore soluzione ai suoi bisogni.
