The labor market has always been characterized by dynamism and volatility. These distinctive features are determined by the components of the labor market itself, namely human resources, which do not adhere to schemes or plans, but act according to their unique rationality. Personality, psychological and cognitive constructs, experiences, and backgrounds indirectly influence individuals’ choices. The research aims to analyze how one of these cognitive constructs, that is Future Time Perspective, guides individuals’ occupational choices. In particular, we will try to understand the link between this construct and the growing trend of workers to switch jobs quickly, highlighting the consequences this trend has for businesses.

Abstract
The labor market has always been characterized by dynamism and volatility. These distinctive features are determined by the components of the labor market itself, namely human resources, which do not adhere to schemes or plans, but act according to their unique rationality. Personality, psychological and cognitive constructs, experiences, and backgrounds indirectly influence individuals’ choices. The research aims to analyze how one of these cognitive constructs, that is Future Time Perspective, guides individuals’ occupational choices. In particular, we will try to understand the link between this construct and the growing trend of workers to switch jobs quickly, highlighting the consequences this trend has for businesses.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
