Genoeconomics is a new science that combines the studies of genetics with economics. The human genome is made up of a large number of genes that code for certain characteristics, and some of these can influence an individual's economic choices. Thanks to the growing interest in these studies, the databases of the Genome Wide Association Studies are more and more complete and constantly updated and this allows researchers to obtain increasingly precise estimates and results. In particular, this work will treat the genes that influence learning. These can in fact be indicators for school career success and subsequently also in the working carrer, helping policy makers to implement public policies in a more targeted and effective way. There are many problems that arise from the study of genes' manifestation and as many different methods to overcome them: 3 of them will be presented as examples in this discussion.

Abstract
Genoeconomics is a new science that combines the studies of genetics with economics. The human genome is made up of a large number of genes that code for certain characteristics, and some of these can influence an individual's economic choices. Thanks to the growing interest in these studies, the databases of the Genome Wide Association Studies are more and more complete and constantly updated and this allows researchers to obtain increasingly precise estimates and results. In particular, this work will treat the genes that influence learning. These can in fact be indicators for school career success and subsequently also in the working carrer, helping policy makers to implement public policies in a more targeted and effective way. There are many problems that arise from the study of genes' manifestation and as many different methods to overcome them: 3 of them will be presented as examples in this discussion.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
