Soft skills are increasingly relevant in the world of training and work as well as the development of problem solving skills. In the literature, the relationship between these two constructs has been poorly investigated. The following research aims to analyze the relationship between problem solving (insight and non-insight) and transversal skills, also taking into account aspects related to general cognitive skills (fluid reasoning) in a sample of university students. The soft skills considered will be described starting from the BESSI model (Behavioral, Emotional, and Social Skills Inventory). In fact, a further objective of the following research is to participate in the Italian validation of the BESSI model by testing the relationship with the Big Five model. The results showed a poor relationship between transversal skills and problem solving but confirmed an excellent relationship between the BESSI model and the Big Five model.

Abstract
The results showed a poor relationship between transversal skills and problem solving but confirmed an excellent relationship between the BESSI model and the Big Five model.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
