Dalla parte dell'animale. Il Bestiario di Dino Buzzati

Our society removes the animal, as an individual, and its suffering in order to exploit it for its own benefit, thus creating a species hierarchy. Literature takes it upon itself to resurface and make explicit this suffering. This thesis deals with the way Dino Buzzati treats the point of view of the animal in contact with the pain inflicted on it, comparing this conception with that exposed in the tenth fragment of Federigo Tozzi's Bestie, thus bringing out in both cases the pain that the animal feels because of the human species.

La nostra società rimuove l'animale, in quanto individuo, e la sua sofferenza per sfruttarlo a proprio vantaggio, creando così una gerarchia di specie. La letteratura si incarica di far riemergere e di esplicitare tale sofferenza. In questa tesi si affronta il modo con cui Dino Buzzati tratta il punto di vista dell'animale a contatto con il dolore inflittogli, confrontando tale concezione con quella esposta nel decimo frammento di Bestie di Federigo Tozzi, facendo così emergere in entrambi i casi il dolore che l'animale prova a causa della specie umana.
