The thesis aims to investigate Postmodern Literature and its peculiarities by outlining the complexity of the world related to the historical-political changes that occurred from the second half of the twentieth century to today. The thesis fits into the debate of Postmodernity and its overcoming by analyzing above all the work of the American writer Don DeLillo, who is taken as a model of the new artistic-literary sensibility related to the complexity of reality. Among DeLillo's works analyzed, "The Falling Man" has a significant centrality, a reference novel for the main themes treated such as political violence, the role of History and the exhibition of atrocities.
