Abstract
The so-called 'marbles' of Valpolicella have been known and used for centuries in construction for their physical-mechanical and aesthetic characteristics not only regionally but globally. They were already used in a varied and intense manner in Roman times, not only in Verona but throughout Cisalpine Gaul. In this study, all the evidence from the Roman age in the Valpolicella is analysed and inserted into GIS software in order to reconstruct the exploitation and management of its stone resources in the antiquity.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
