This paper takes into analysis the importance of emotional regulation during adolescence, aiming, as its main objective, to validate the Italian version of the Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale - Short Form (DERS-SF) in a sample of adolescents aged between 11 and 17 years old (n=704, M=13.38, SD=1.37) and to verify its psychometric qualities. To support this objective, we also take into analysis the contributions of several authors from the national and international scene, who highlight not only the validity and reliability of the DERS for measuring emotional regulation in adolescence, but also the validity of the DERS-SF itself, as supported by the results of the present study.
Questo elaborato prende in analisi l’importanza della regolazione emotiva durante l’adolescenza, proponendosi, come obiettivo principale, di validare in Italia la Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale - Short Form (DERS-SF) in un campione composto da adolescenti con un’età compresa tra gli 11 ed i 17 anni (n=704, M=13.38, DS=1,37) e di verificarne le qualità psicometriche. A supporto di tale obiettivo, si prendono inoltre in analisi i contributi di diversi autori del panorama nazionale e internazionale, i quali evidenziano non solo l’efficacia della DERS per misurare la regolazione emotiva in adolescenza, ma anche la validità della DERS-SF, così come confermato dai risultati del presente studio.
